A double-acting cylinder is a type of cylinder that has a piston rod on both sides. It is supplied with compressed air from both sides of the piston to generate pressure, which pushes the piston out to produce thrust. The piston returns by compressed air from the opposite side. A double-acting cylinder consists of a cylinder barrel, two end caps, a piston, and a piston rod.
